Small mouth bass and Large mouth Bass the L.M.Bass has a separation on the top Doral fin which the Small mouth don't. Then the mouth being closed the L.M.Bass has it's jaw go pass the eyeball. As for the S.M.Bass it's jaw equal to the eyeball. Then you have the color L.M.Bass has more dark green to lite green with black latteral line on the side. The S.M.Bass is also green but not as much as the counterpart L.M.Bass, plus the S.M.Bass is a bronze color to a brown that is why they are called Bronze Backs. Also the S.M.Bass has the tiger stripe design on the sides.
Small Mouth Bass likes cool water and fast running water and deep pools in rivers and lakes. Also likes and preferr clear water rather then the stain and dirty water. The L.M.Bass likes warm water and falling trees and stumps also slow moving rivers and lakes and ponds.
