Boise River Fishing

Best way to explore the river is from the greenbelt. Get on your bike or hoof it with an assortment of spinners (I prefer Rooster Tails or Mepps) and small spoons and stop at every spot you think might hold fish. There are big fish in every stretch of that river, but they didn't get big by being dumb, so you have to put some time and effort into it.

I will give you this advice: Fish it at first light until about 10am at the latest for the best action. Fish it again an hour or two before sundown when it's cooling down. That's when they bite the best, you won't get heat stroke and you'll avoid the inner tube hatch.
