I just got back from a quick trip to the Sierras, so I haven't had time to post before. As FG said I was there Thursday and the wind started about 10 minutes later! I only managed to get one into the net, but it was a nice fat 18 incher. I picked it up on an olive leech.

I only got a couple of pictures of it, as I knocked my fly rod in the water and gave my camera a soaking when I grabbed for the pole. Luckily the camera did survive and work again after giving it three days to dry out!!
After catching the one, the wind just continued to build and get nastier. I tried some deep nymphing, but had no luck as by then the waves were getting a bit rough and it was time to get off the water.
I was nice to meet flygoddess and her husband, I just wish I had had more time! Thanks again for the fly and tips!
