wow ! that is a big hook ! i usually use #2 for shrimp............#4 for crickets/worms...........#1 for minnows liver............#2 for cut bait. nothing wrong with a big bait though. i feel bad you got skunked at jacks creek. as i stated in my info it can be hit and miss.............i like to fish upstream from the sand dunes as you drive toward steck park along the big trees. can be snaggy at times however..........a co-worker fishes inbetween weiser and payette by some rv park and always gets a few. no clue where this is however........
