Like mentioned, I can see the smaller battery for day use.
If one can afford various size batteries, then you would have it made[

The large battery I have is reading 12.68 after three days of use at about 6 hours a day and huge! wind and waves.
You experienced the wind...it was there at different times every day.
So, for camping trips and more than 1 days....bigger is better, but I could get by with a very tiny battery for those day jaunts.
