You will be at the sound during an exciting time of the year. You will most likely be "combat" fishing wherever you go due to the fact the July is the time of year when the sockeye salmon are running. If you can find space around the sound you can still find great halibut, flounder, lingcod, and rockfish fishing. If you're willing to travel a little bit you will find many different kinds of fisheries. Around the salt flats you can find ocean river cutthroat.
