south fork (snake) 7-17-10

Work has finally slowed down enough that i could finally get the boat out.I cant believe it is the middle of july and this is the first trip out with the boat [frown]. We floated the south fork and it was amazing fishing today. Between the three of us I bet we caught at least 50 fish between 8" to 18". We were using rapala's brown trout seemed to be the hot one but we caught them on black & silver rainbow and even a few on gulp minnows. We put in at 7:00 am and got off the water at 2:00 pm. We took a little side channel of the river that got a little interesting got so skinny the oars where hitting on both sides and we had to carry the boat over two different log jams. All in all a great day. Sorry no pic's
