I can't be sure that they were Trout they were seeing as I was not there but I can only guess that my cousin who is usually at least pretty level headed would know enough to possibly know the difference but then again fish in the water can be awfully hard to tell apart for us novice fisherman.
We are heading that way Sat (Jul 16th) morning to try our luck so I will report back afterwards to let you all know how it went.

P.S. No I would not recommend Piledriver Slough for grayling (though they are still there). I have some sweet holes up the Chena and in the backcountry on the Denali Hwy. I can't wait to get back to them but in the mean time am excited (and could use additional help keeping it) to get into some Idaho trout fishing like when I was a kid.
