Float Tube Side Pocket - Storage

I noticed that although the side pockets of my Outcast Super Fat Cat are big. I had some trouble with the items in them being all scatered and I was also afraid of potential punctures.

So I bought myself for each pocket, two plastic containers (two because I could not find one the right size for the 17" L, 7" W, 4" H, Float Tube pocket).

Now it is a charm, except I have to remove the lid to access the items.

Any of you encountered the same situation, and what were your solutions, if any.
