i am new to fishing and have a new boyfriend who is into fishing big time . he wants to take me bluegill fishing friday at the horseshoe bend lake. i went to cabella's and one of the guys that worked there recomended this fishing pole it is an ugly stick pole 6'6" medium heavy action with a shakespear reel that has # 14 line he put on. my friend charlene that i work with says the pole is to much for bluegill is it?

what lure does bluegill like i bought a pink worm. thanks guys
