First of off thank you for all your advice all of you esspically Smart weed and BassnBob. Although i still must be doing something wrong I've been fishing the pockets of the smartweed with Zoom horney toad from sun up to about 11 am to no avail. Fighting my way through the weeds to try and get back into the trees for the same mess of hangs snags and frustration. That's the challenge of fishing right? Well I am hell bent to learn that lake the more I get skunked the more i want to figure it out.
Any Pointers on how to get across the smart weed. I have a little green 12 ft flat bottom Jon boat with a small 18 hp motor and oars. I'm kinda nervous about motoring back there i don't want to tear up my old tired 70 something evirude.
If you don't mind me asking what are you guys using for hooks and how do you rig the plastics. I have been mainly using light weight weedless jig heads and just pushing into the plastic normal at the head of the creature.
