I went back up to Twin on Wednesday. Pretty much the second I dropped my five bucks in the tube the wind hit. There were whitecaps all over he lake so I didn't even bother with my tube. I waded amongst the trees tossing Slug-Gos and caught five smaller bass in the 8-12" range. I also lost a much larger one and caught a good sized crappie of about 12" on the Slug-Go. It flipped off while I was trying to lip it, so no pic. I decided to crack out the 10' crappie pole and caught a gill and another smaller crappie on a 1/16 ounce jig and a 2" grub. They seemed to be in a little bit deeper water, and with the two foot waves hitting me, I decided to give it up before I ended up with waders full of water.
I went over to The Narrows where it was calm for a bit and caught half a dozen smallmouth before the winds hit even worse than at Twin. I nearly lost my hat. Luckily I packed up and left when I did because just outside of the canyon I hit torrential rain and hail. The only good thing about the weather this year is it's watering my lawn while I figure out how to fix my sprinklers [:/]
