IF you run the motor on 1 or the slowest setting, you can get at LEAST 7 hours of constant use.
If I run my motor (be it the 36 or the Maxum40) on 3 or middle setting, I am going to get maybe 5 hours. Run them on fill and maybe 3 hours.
(these are just examples)
No one plans on using the battery and motor the whole time but, it will happen. Fishing is really good and there is a wind. You will want to stay on the fish so you adjust your motor so that you can stay in the honey hole.
I have had several batteries die on me on a ONE DAY outing. I don't troll, I just try to stay in the area.
Everytime you use a battery, you take some of it's life and power away. They don't just up and die, they gradually fade.
Therefore, start with the MOST amps and take it from there.
By the way, the Prop on the 36 is exactly the same prop as the Maxxum 40. So, what happens when you put a smaller prop on a bigger motor?
