You nailed it as to why I went with this chair versus a rigid ones. I found that as the day went on, I could adjust the FC4 seat straps and lean back a bit more or I could crank them up to sit up straight like my mama use to tell me.
These chairs come apart and I didn't have to cut the legs at all. My original plan was to keep the arm rests but to do that required the upper portion of the legs to remain and the tube width didn't allow for it. So I did loose the arm rests, though I think I may be able to add a bent arm support which could just sit on the chair seat and clip the arm rests back on..... might make a trip to HD for some PVC.....[
