Best float tube for backpacking into high mountain lakes?
#6
For day hikes I just use my FC4. I have a set of Caddis backpack straps that really help a lot. I pack my waders, fins, lunch etc... into the seat of the tube that way I am only packing in one backpack. This has worked well for me on my Yellowstone trips where I usually hike 2-3 miles each way. I know it is not the lightest set up but it works great.
