I have a Maddison River (Sadly tho I don't have the standing platform add on) and use a lap appron. I hated not having and would never go back to not haveing one.

I attached it to some clips so that I could attach it to the frame by the oars and to the aluminum deck behind me. If you're interested I'd post some picks.
