Lake Lowell
#12
All you need to do at this time of year is follow the advise of BassingBob. Get some soft toads for topwater and something to flip or pitch to the trees if the fish aren't hitting on top. As the smart weed grows (it's late this year) fish the toad through it, targeting pockets. You will also want to flip and pitch to those pockets and holes. I prefer the Ribbit for my topwater, and either a jig with trailer or an unweighted Senko for pitching, but most guys seem to use creatures. I also like to use a swim jig in the smart weed at this time of year, but most prefer a spinnerbait. Those methods should take you through June.

Bass are like most fish or big game animals. They move along edges, pockets and holes looking for food.
