[cool][#0000ff]Yeah, those guys are serious bassaholics. They know their stuff and prefer to chase bass from tubes and toons. Used to be more tubes but in order to have a livewell for tournaments it required the space and capacity of a pontoon. [/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Since there is usually a penalty in a tournament for any fish that dies it is necessary to have a large enough live well and good water circulation to avoid crowding or stressing the fish before weigh-in.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Unless you are fishing a tournament there should be no reason for having a livewell. Like yourself, I prefer to keep my fish alive until I am ready to throw them on ice and head for home. Unlike yourself, I use a wire basket rather than a mesh bag. Trout don't have spines. Many of the fish I catch have lots of spines. A basket with a floating ring bumper keeps them away from my air chambers. Also, you should see what a catfish can do when it erects its spines and does a death roll inside a bag. It ain't purty...and is nasty to get them untangled.[/#0000ff]
