Yeah, the battery is the heaviest and will make it harder to get to shore, but I don't think that it can pull it down if only one side leaks. In a worst case scenario I would cut the battery loose and kiss it goodbye. OR I would abandon all of it, if I thought it was a hypothermia situation. It would get to the shore on its own. Just probably not where I would want it to be.
A power float if I remember correctly had only one chamber of inflation. The Fish Cat has the seats and two side chambers. It would be a real pain, but I don't think it would all go. Still it is a good idea to add a strap to the battery.
On mine the motor mount is solidly attached to the tube since I used the seat straps in the front and a bunge at the motor end. The other design (TD's) calls for straps from the front tubes to the d-rings with a bunge. I think it would probably stay in place too.
I am considering changing my design and attaching the pvc arms to a battery box. I'm trying to decide if it would just be more trouble and bulkier in transport, or easier as I am thinking I could make it to fit both the Renegade and the Fish Cat. It would completely replace the mounts I am using now.
