I need a little help!

I've never been to Willow and im not sure whats in there. I do most of my fishing on streams but i do spend a ton of time at mantua in the summer fishing still water.Mantua is full of pan fish. what has worked for me is a Popper with a small bead head prince nymph about 12"-18" bellow. Works great for Bluegill, perch, and smaller bass. Ive always wondered how this technique would work for trout? Witch are also in Mantua but like i said usually go there in the dead of of summer when the trout fishing is slow.
