Yeah I know what you are saying about the anchorin up. i really like fishing off the bank and when boats move in on me fishing on the bank I get a little pissed. I try to get far enough away from people as possible when im fishing for that reason. You probably have seen my group fishing at the thunder bird station. ive fished that for a long time and now I cant because guys just move in on me everytime. That use to be my honey hole for a long time but since 2008 people will just park walk rite in the middle of my gear and start casting. Ive been in a few altercations over that spot cuz of peoples ignorance. I am a very friendly person and will help anyone out but you push me and I will push back lol. Its funny how passionate people are about there spots lol.
Got a funny story for you. 2 guys came down and crowded us. talked to them and they moved down river about 30 yards. they were there for about 5 hours and in that time we had 2 doubles and caught 12 salmon total. Those guys were so mad they started casting over our gear so i had to talk to them again. No probs after that and I showed them what i was using but they still couldnt buy a salmon. lol
Anchoring up in the river is very dangerous for people. I think it was last year that guy was throwing is anchor and the rope got caught on is leg and pulled him in. Its really
to hear about stuff like that cuz the person was just wanting to fish. I hope everyone is very careful when fishing no matter whether they are from boat or bank.
