I just bought a Humminbird Fishin' Buddy 140c to use on my Outlaw Rampage. I scored 3 sets of 4 Eveready Ultimate Lithium AA cells on Amazon for $2.49 each, so I will have two sets of 6 (6 at a time in the FB). My experience with lithium AAs in the past is that they last at LEAST 4 times as long as alkalines. They also don't self-discharge and are 1.5V each.
Normally a 4 pack is something like $7.50, which makes them pretty expensive, but this particular deal on Amazon got me 12 of 'em for $14.41 including shipping. I think they will probably work great in the FB 140c.
Incidentally, I took the 140c out in the bright sun yesterday and it is much easier to read than the greyscale Humminbird 565 I have for my pram.
Oh, I forgot to mention that the lithiums are NOT rechargeable.
