From reviewing the moffit system online, I think that this is essentially what the people using troutbeads are doing for steelhead. The only differences I see are...
1) they aren't using flies.
2) they aren't using circle hooks (at least not myself of the others I've seen close enough to tell).
3) they aren't putting as much space between the lure and the hook.
Other than those details the rig is essentially the same. I'm planning on heading to fish below Pali
e in the morning and plan to try some beads w/ that method there to see how that goes, if at all. I'll post a report if there is any success or issues w/ it.
