Slinky's ??

Just wondering if anybody else uses these? I am pretty sure they are called slinky's. I have used them for many years. I do a lot of drift fishing with a lot of different baits like fly's, sucker meat, hellgies , minnows etc. To me they seam to not get snaged up as often as split shot or some of the other weights. I was just wondering what everyone thoughts were on them? I know that a lot of people use pencil lead. Here is a pic of one in case you don't know what i am talking about. Thanks for any replies.
