they used to do that here, but we found that the fish kill ratio skyrockets when you let them slide down a seuth.
I dont know what the damage is caused by sliding down, if its an oxigen starvation thing or the battering they take from flopping against the hard metal on the way down, "either or both are good posibilites"
years ago we only had paid officials who were charged with the planting of the trout, but as you can see now, it is turning in to a great past time to even be there to watch volunteers run the nets to the river. What ever your part was it is a great time to enjoy nature.
I named my three as they were set loose in the river, Breakfast Lunch and Dinner... [:p] I will be back there on opening day to bring them home with me.. [cool]
