Pon, it does have the PVC bottom.
But Type 1 white water...isn't that basically standing water? I am not positive, but, I would think you would be looking at Type 2 & up on the snake you are talking about.
The boat is a little short for my liking at 8' specially for a river.
Even if the boat could take it, be SURE you know how to yourself.
A pontoon isn't going to be the same as a Drift Boat or a canoe/kayak.
It will want to turn more.
I had to row a Drift Boat to get an Idaho guide clearance. While it was a short run on the snake, it had it's moments.
Plus I will add, although I have never used this boat, have come across many on other forums, that think while the boat itself is okay, the seat is terrible.
