I ran up to Salmon on Monday to buy a truck. Took the poles for fun and though I may stay the night in Stanley if the fishing was any good up that way. I only saw a few fish up that far and I forgot my waders so I didn't go after them. I should have stayed in Challis if I really wanted to fish. I think that will put you in a good central area. I stopped at Ellis for a few minutes and watched probably 15 fish get landed or being fought. It was going off but to many people for me. Sunbeam also had an overflow of people but didn't see any hookups. What impressed me was all the fly guys catching fish in the skinny water.
