Lamonts water is very clear. You can see the bottom out to about fifteen feet. I have really never seen it muddy. Not sure of where the water comes from, but i'm pretty sure that it isn't from a spud field, since there are very few spuds grown in Franklin county and the closest is at least ten miles away.
