OMG! I went yesterday to license the new Outlaws. First off, a little strange that Scadden or North Fork isn't in their system as he has been making boats for years. Water Skeeter was there though.
Anyway, so I get a newbie that had no clue. For an hour we tried to figure out what the boat is.
Then to top it off, as mention, I need a bill of sale...wahoo, I have that, but now they want a receipt.. What the heck do you do if the boat is older and you now want to add a motor?
So I call Dave, and he faxed the tax down not once, but three times!!!! They did not get it.
The smart thing would have been to walk away, get the receipt and go back as the lines are pretty quick, but not me.....I ended up paying the tax in the dollar figure of $60. more for the two boats...DANG!!!! So a total of $129. for two boats.
Good news is, I got the paper work for the TAX REFUND because I have already paid tax and Dave is SENDING me the receipt.
So, I have to wait for the refund,,,,,what a crock!
I know I could have just kept using my Cardiac plate cause they were getting there $ every year and they have no clue how this works.
The new registration has the boat listed not a an Outlaw, but a North Fork...so....I am pretty much covered for future boats...he, he, he
