That is interesting that you mention kayak fishing. I've seen more than a few kayak anglers out on the lake. Don't know if they subscribe to this forum, but rest assured, you're not alone.
(I've even been considering getting one...mostly for quiet cruising to less traveled areas, as most of my fishing is for carp)
