If you need an RV hookup, the dam is probably your best bet. It's also protected from the prevailing winds, which can get rather rough.
Cottonwood is the only campground I know of on CJ that has slips. A long jetty with a canal and a small pool area about an acre that protects the boats from the wind.
You don't even have to launch your boat, though. The pool and canal have incredible crappie fishing in late spring. I went there for the first time in mid-April last year, and caught (and released) over 70 crappies in about three hours standing on shore and casting a 1/16th oz Roadrunner. The fishing was awesome, and stayed awesome right up through mid-July when they finished spawning.
Considering reports of how well people are doing on crappies in boats right now, it's looking like another crappie year is shaping up.
