Go back in the history of this site, because earlier this winter a fellow--from Colorado I believe--asked tons of questions about the area, and got terrific advice from many contributors. The boat is a great idea to access the far side of the lake, and to get a view of the lake you will never forget. But there are better lakes to troll, such as Stanley L. Your best fishing will probably be the river. The Salmon goes right through town, and usually produces limits that time of year. Mike
