Well two of us have fished below the power plant and spillway area off and on the past few weeks since almost all the lakes have been froze over. Average times 9am to 7pm temperatures ranging from 34 - 50ish. We tried everything we had from shiners, large and small spinners, all types of crankbaits, all types of soft plastics, spoons, heck i even tied on a buzzbait lol and striper lures. We only got a few bites and that only after they started to let water out of the lake. We caught two shad that were almost 3lbs each and thats all. I don't know if we are goin in at the wrong time or what but weve tried everything we have in our tackle boxes multiple times except frogs and bobber fishing. We fished both sides from the line at the spillway to the power plant and down the other side. Any hints that may help us catch something other than shad?
