Striper from the shore at Lake Mead
#1
Hey everyone. New here to the forum.

I have fished all my life, and was born and raised here in Nevada. Have always prefered warm water fishing. Anyway, I have been in central Nevada for about 10 years now. About the only fishing around here is trout fishing in the small streams. I have finally decided to try and get into fishing Lake Mead. I am familiar with largemouth fishing, smallmouth, etc., etc., but have never fished for stripers. I want to get started fishing from the shore with my wife and daughters this spring before I start hauling the boat down.

I'm not expecting anyone to cough up their hot spots, I am just looking for a few good areas to shore fish for stripers from this spring and early summer. I would prefer the Overton Arm since it is closer to home and I have heard there are fewer people (I would prefer fewer people). Any tips and tactics would be welcome also.

Thanks a million in advance for anything you can tell me. Just "fishing" for information.
