I use sardines and corn.. I wont dare stick it in the blender though. I usually grind it outside with an old meat grinder i got at a yard sale. I think sardines work better than anchovies because they are a bit more oily and pungent. There are lots of ways you could get it out farther..I usually tie a light rope to a gatorade bottle.. fill it with chum and pop holes in it then throw it out. I will bring it back in every 5 min or so and throw it back out if its floating back to shore.
