I don't have color but I just put a Humminbird 565 on my toon. The new model similar is the 570. This is a dual cone. I think the color sonars are a little overrated. Up unitl this time I have used a fishin buddy that I purchased about 10 years ago. This is a nice upgrade and I know my son will enjoy getting the use out of the fishin buddy as he learns how to use it. Mamatrout wants one too. There are many different types of sonar out there. Get what you feel you need. But also check out the posts in the forum, there are many on the different types of sonar available and what is being used. TD even has many different posts on different types that you will find interesting. Let us know what you get.
