Maybe drifting the bead you "floss" some but under a float no way......... Actually the bead was developed in Alaska to immitate the eggs of spawning salmon floating down the river. The reason for pegging the bead above the hook is so when the rainbow trout in AK grab the bead they dont mortally hook themselves by swallowing the bead, the hook is pinned on the outside of the mouth.
