Yeah steelhead kid i have used that method the only problem is if you get a snag on your bead instead of the bead sliding it just breaks your line, I dont use the trout beads ive been using odd colors ive been finding at the craft stores, also there was a fly fishermen in stanley last year using a rubber leg looking thing instead of a toothpick he said some where in boise sells them I would love to get ahold of them.
