Is throwing a lure (usually a spinner bait) into heavy brush or cover and slowly reeling the lure up over a limb or pile of rocks then letting it slowly sink back to the bottom and wait a few seconds, Then repeat.
If done properly you won't get hung up very often and it's a deadly technique in heavy brush piles on lakes and rivers.

If an angler says he is catching bass or crappie at 20 feet he means 20 feet from the surface of the water regardless of the actual depth to the bottom.
