Headed for Salmon Sat Morning
#14
Well we started fishing below owl creek about 30 mins before sunrise and I hooked one and lost it within the first 10 minutes. Then it took another 2-2 1/2 hrs to get another bite. This time I landed it and it was a nice lil 24" native. Had to release it. It took another 3 hrs to get another one and finally it was a keeper. A really nice male about 28" and still had quite a lot of chrome to it. Should be tasty. We then hit the road and stopped and fished a few pockets between Salmon and Challis and didn't get a bite. It's still a little early for them to be moving, but soon enough they will be. With the warm weather this week the water should warm enough to get them steelies high tailing it for the spawn beds. I can't wait for the next adventure...
