I have have a 6foot6 med-heavy ugly stick spinning pole with a shimano reel. i usually either put 8 lbs or 10lbs flouro on but i had 20lbs spider wire braid on it for a while when i was strickly catchin cats. my girlfriend has a six foot lady ugly stick with 8lb line
few months ago i bought a pinnacle inerntia finnese bait cast reel, its on a walmart rod for now, i grew up in montana catching trout and this bass stuff is new to me so iam still tryin to get used to the bait caster. its got 14lb stren flouro right now.
we both have ultra light spinning rods with 4 pound line for crappies and trout, and i also have one of those tiger rod combos. we bought it in california on a disney land trip to fish off the pier at night.
