Finally I got to fish from a boat there and experience the "hump's" crappie.Struggled the first 3 hrs. Tried all the colors I thought should work and only aught 2. Jeff my partner who has the boat caght 2 nice gills and a medium perch.
The problem was this boat with 3 guys that were landing 3 fish, at least, a minute, but were to ar to see what the perfect rig was. We got an opportunity to more closer, not to close, but close enough to see the ig combo they were using. Just like was mentioned in the earlier CJ post, white and chartruess.
Still being stuborn I tried similar but not the same and nada. Well we took a short drivve to regroup and came back and came in on the other side of them and found out the other part of the equation, location, location, location. Switch over to their setup and fish-on every cast.
So in the last hour brought home 24 (10" the biggest, average ws 9")

and Jeff caught about a dozen. I was worn out with all the stress of watching those guys feed us humble pie by the spoonfull, but thats fishin and I love it!!!
Now it's time for dinner[fishin]
