Thanks for your reply! Glad to find out that I'm not the ONLY ONE that uses them.
Personally, I use only a snap for most applications (i.e. crankbait, spinnerbait, buzzbaits, etc.)... and then only the Duolock or Crosslock variety.
The only time I use a swivel-snap (still Duolock/Crosslock type) is with lures that are designed to twist: spoons, Johnson Silver Minnows, inline spinners, etc.
Everything else - those things I consider as "stealthy"... things that the fish will get a good chance to look over - I tie direct: worms, jig/jig-n-pig, etc.
