weird catches?

I agree this thread has jogged my memory too, like one time when i was in either high school or junior high, i was ice fishing and a house cat comes trotting out onto the ice from somewhere. I tried to get it to come over so i could pet it, but it wasn't too tame, so I thought to myself i would give it something to play with so I cast my jig over to him so he could chase it and have fun ( I clearly didn't think this one through all the way[blush]) it worked fine for a few seconds, he would pounce and I would pull the jig away at the appropriate time, but then somehow i either lost my concentration or the cat used some sort of ninja move and grabbed my jig! of course now we are both terrified, and I'm really hoping not to injure him (or have to reel him in and unhook him[shocked]). luckily he only stayed on for a few seconds then he was gone real fast, and I tried to act natural hoping nobody saw me make an idiot of myself!
