we walked down from the hole 33 lot. there is tons of junk washed up next to shore all over there though. it was kinda tough to shore fish. we started in a little bay then went out on a point, much better off da point. only a few lil openings in the crud. like sticks and mud and cattails like ten yards out from shore, i tossed a rock on it and it didnt even sink. and we put alot of weight on first and casted way out and didnot really catch anything until we fished just beyond the crud. i think there is a bunch of bait fish under it. and a lot of carp sucking at the surface around it. i casted just about every thing in my tackle box on one pole and bottom fished with my other with cut chovies. chovies were the only thing to catch a fish though. hope this helps
