Carp Seining Wednesday

I went down to see that operation Wed. Took a fellow with me that has back & leg trouble so can't walk much at all so I took my snowmoklunk. Didn't like the looks of access by the river mouth so went to Lincoln Beach & put the sled on the ice there. About 2/3 of the way to where the harvest was going on the snowmoklunk croaked.

I drilled some holes & left my buddy to fish & I walked the remaining mile or so to watch the very end of the harvest. Carp galore & they said they had gotten some mighty nice walleye, crappie & gills along with a bunch of nice channels. There were a lot of bullhead & white bass too. A lot of the whites were caught in the net like they would in a gill net. Evidently they harvest the white bass too. A guy said they are shipped to Canada. They had a couple tubs of bullhead also but I didn't ask what became of them.

As for our fishing, nada, zilch etc. Luckily a very nice guy I work with lives in Springville & is an avid snowmobiler. He was home so he & his son came out and rescued us. If I ever bump into the lying clown that sold me that snowmoclunk, I'm gonna get my butt kicked 'cause I'm gonna take a poke at him even if I am 70 yrs old.
