300 win mag ammo question

I absolutely love my Remington XCR 300 Win mag. it shoots wonderfully and oh whata pretty gun. I like the 180 grain bullet for almost anything but have found that the 165 grains bullets shoot much flatter at distances over 400 yards. and have seen with other guns i own that i have to be consistent on the brand in my old .308 the federals grouped differently than the winchesters?? so i make sure i buy the same bullets that i have sighted my gun in on.
