LAKE ERIE HAS SOME GIGANTIC SMALLMOUTH:
My father and I were talking about how big the smallmouth are in Lake Erie.... Many anglers from Ohio adventure up there on the Canada side of the lake to hook into 7 & 8 lb smallmouth.... Most use Softshell crawdads or stick with tubes for artificial.... Catching 50 smallmouth an day is nothing up there, it sure will make you spoiled.... Guy down the road from my fathers, which owns bait store caught smallmouth that weighed 7lb 12 oz.... You sure are lucky to have such great lake nearby.... Underwater stucture such as rock piles seem to be the ticket for most anglers fishing up there.... Certainly a different type of lake than what I'm use to fishing here in Tennessee...
