I checked out the Jackson bridge area. On the road that comes in from the west The road is closed at that last house. About 100 yards? from the bank. I looked over the bank in that area real good but never saw a place to take out that was real good. I came in from the south and the road is closed a LONG way before the bridge. The Baseline take out looked real good. I didn't know that a guide helped people float that area.
Using a minnow is perfect for me. That and cut bait is what I mostly use. I am surprised that there are trout there. The F&G hasn't planted trout there in a long time.
Sturgeon well I would not have figured that. Have you ever seen any cats caught in that stretch? I was told that a few guys were catching cats between the put in and about 1 mile down stream.
Thanks for the offer to give a hand I will do that. Maybe you might want to join us on a trip? I have been fishing the stretch between the Burley bridge and the restaurant with the dock (Dry Dock) I got a few cats and a lot of bass but never any good sized cats. I am kind of hoping that that upper stretch will have some cats in there in the spring early summer. Do you know of anyone that has had any luck on cats? Ron
