Where is the good point? Possession is possession. If you exceed that in any way including gifting fish, canning fish, or even putting them under your sofa . . . you are breaking the law. What part of possession do people not understand??? This conversation goes on in any board you join. Why do law breakers always try to question the obvious??? Can you say "What part of exceeding a days limit in possession is illegal," don't people understand?
On the other point, it's not illegal to release fish. Catch a protected fish and try to keep it. As was mentioned this is a blood sport. Do your best to help with survival and then get over it or don't fish. As with every thing in life some people are piss poor stewards of what we have. Educate those you can but the rest will never recognize themselves in a thousand posts on this subject.
So . . . now you are either preaching to the choir, yelling at a brick wall, or using these boards to make yourself feel better by venting. Imagine if we all posted one vent a day on these boards. Fun stuff huh.
